FORZA HORIZON 'RALLY EXPANSION PACK' KICKS UP DIRT DECEMBER 18

Forza Horizon will veer wildly off the beaten path with a new DLC expansion due December 18. The "Rally Expansion Pack" adds off-road rally racing to Turn 10's racer, including "deeper ruts, higher jumps, and new surface types to explore."

Unlike in real life, it'll be fun to drive in these unsafe conditions because the game provides you with virtual, rally-tuned vehicles and a helpful co-driver. So you're not just out there ruining your own car in some mud.

The Rally Expansion Pack will cost 1,600 Microsoft Points on its own ($20), and will be included at no additional cost as part of the Season Pass.

Id sound like the cursing Irish rally drivers.

This is going to be epic! I grew up driving on gravel roads & the gravel doesn't feel that bad in the FH Demo with all assists off, stuff the co-driver though. I'd rather the co-driver be someone screaming for me to slow down and jesus gripping, then I'd feel at home lol

The rally expansion is going to be awesome. I wonder if its going to be somewhere you can drive on just when you're free roaming or will be a special track just for events? Either way, we'll be able to get some crazy hang time on it.

I'm hoping its going to be somewhere you can drive to in free roam, the more road the better! Rally, barn finds & epic scenery... This is going to make for epic photography options!

Already looking forward to the expansion pack, and I don't even have the game yet!! Oh I want to play it soo bad...

Ah, this brings back memories. I had a Rally-racing game for PS1, and I remember the little voice telling me the directions... Ah, good times!

By the way, am I the only one who NAMES the GPS? please tell me im not weird... :p

I would name it but if typed what I named it I'd most likely have my post edited by a mod

Lol, I named my GPS Lola; Its an "R.V" refference.

That way, I can yell at it when It gets annoying!

I named my GPS EDI (for the non-mass effect players that's the AI in the game). I loved playing Rally Fusion on PS2 and the co-drivers was hilarious. Every time you hit something all you would hear are bleeps over the com, also loved Dirt (Only the first one)

I loved how Joker was infatuated with EDI in ME3, I messed with him hard out lol...

yeah I named my Bjorn, for those of you who are not aware that is the first character of peggle, who's special ability was to guide you were the ball would hit

I would probably more than likely name my GPS Cortana.

Nah, you definitely aren't the only one. I've named the GPS in my car Velma after the Scooby Doo character because she can always find out where to go!

Hah! I named my car Lola but only because my sister kept saying that my Magnum reminded here of an old school gangster car. Since that took my brain to the '50s, I started thinking of songs that reminded of that time period and thought of "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow. And thus did my Magnum become Lola!

To return to the topic at hand though, I absolutely cannot wait for the 18th of December. I mean, don't get me wrong I am going to be sliding around the dirt roads available with the the game at launch but getting to do actually rally races with a handling/physics engine that makes drive like a real person is going to be beyond epic. BEYOND EPIC! Till then, guess I'll just have to deal with DiRT 3. Or not, since I'll be too bust driving around Colorado to care!

Any word as to if the cars mentioned are actually part of the pack, or will they decide to cheap out and use the december car dlc pack for these cars?
